Nothing gets past Swifties.
Eagled-eyed Taylor Swift fans praised the musician’s “genius” for seemingly hinting at her and Travis Kelce’s relationship in August — weeks before going public with their romance.
On Tuesday, one X user shared a video of Swift playing the song “Dress” at her Aug. 7 show, noting that the date and lyrics appeared to have a secret meaning.
“Her playing dress on 8/7 and singing ‘they got no idea about me and you’ while her and Travis were secretly dating and his number is 87 oh Taylor Swift you insane woman,” the user wrote.
“SHES SO SMART,” one X user replied, while another added, “She is really a very smart woman… and a genius at that.”
“That’s why she’s THE Mastermind!!!!!!!!!!!!!,” a fourth wrote.
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end didn’t go public with their relationship until Swift’s Sept. 24 game-day appearance at Arrowhead Stadium.
However, the “Blank Space” songstress, 34, revealed earlier this month in her interview with Time Magazine that she and the NFL star, also 34, began seeing each other in July.
Swift told the outlet that she and Kelce began hanging out “right after” he spoke about attempting — and failing — to pass his number along to her via a friendship bracelet at her Kansas City, Mo., concert in July.
“So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” Swift said, adding that Kelce’s shoutout was “metal as hell.”
The singer actually confirmed that they “were a couple” when Swift made her first game-day appearance.
“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game?” Swift said. “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
Last month, the “Lavender Haze” songstress switched up her lyrics to “Karma” as Kelce watched from the VIP tent at her Buenos Aires show.
While Swift’s hit song typically says, “Karma is the guy on the screen,” the singer switched it up to say, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”
