Angel Reese and Cam’Ron Fletcher are off to New York City, for some quality time together. They spent Christmas Eve going around places in Manhattan. As to what they have been through this season, the getaway is a much-needed adventure for the couple, providing them some time to relax, more so for Cam’Ron as his recurrent knee injury proved to be a season-ending incident.
However, before the injury, the Florida State guard was averaging 7.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1 assist per game. Also, he was shooting with a field goal percentage of 41.9%. Despite not being on the court, Cam’Ron has achieved much popularity by rolling into the name, image, and likeness (NIL) factor.
As one of the popular names in the NIL realm, Cam’Ron Fletcher has a floating net worth somewhere between $ 1 million to $ 7 million. As reported by On3 NIL valuation, Fletcher ranks at #62. His annual value makes a total of $143000.
Last season, he was one of Florida State’s highest NIL-ranked players with an NIL value of $192000. Fletcher signed endorsement deals with 2 different brands, namely, Rising Spear and Urban Outfitters.
Fletcher’s deal with Urban Outfitters was signed in September 2022. It is basically a lifestyle retailer that has partnered with 29 NCAA Division I athletes in NIL deals as a part of its “Make Their Mark” campaign that it showcased during the back-to-school season.
As for Rising Spear, it is one of the first NIL collectives launched in the United States in December 2021. It is focussed particularly on Florida State. Moreover, it became the first known collective that merged with another group after absorbing Warpath 850 in 2022 May. The purpose of this merger was to unite FSU’s two biggest names in the NIL space.
Bringing the focus back to Cam’Ron, he still has a lot to achieve as a player once he recovers from his injury. Now, let’s dive a little deeper into how he got hurt in the first place and again at the same place.
Within a span of a year, Cam’Ron Fletcher has suffered the same injury twice. On December 4th, 2022, Fletcher faced an ACL in his right knee during the second half of an away game against Virginia at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Va. At the time, he had to sit out through the whole 2022-23 season and recover through meanwhile.
Unfortunately, after 363 days on December 2nd, Fletcher suffered another painful experience. It was Florida State’s matchup against North Carolina, when he fell face-down on the floor, crying in pain as he again tore his ACL. Notably, he was looking like FSU’s best player, however, his aggressive drive toward the basket ended up pivotal in his career at this point. That night, the Seminoles lost the matchup to North Carolina.
