Golden State Warriors might be on the verge of a perfect end to the Steve Kerr-Steph Curry dynasty.

With a contract that ends at the end of next season, talk over Kerr’s future continues to ramp up.

Kerr signed a $35 million two-year deal with the Warriors before the start of this season and there has been no indication he will stay beyond that deal.

The 59-year-old opened up on The Game’s Mark Wilard and Dan Dibley show on Wednesday in a honest interview about his future
“I think every coaching job has an expiration date, and I think it’s important for all parties involved to be aware of that. So, there’s probably something to that,” Kerr said.
“But, I don’t spend much time thinking about that. I love what I do, I love this team, I love coaching these guys every day.

“I’m just going to keep plugging away with them and see what we can accomplish, and then we’ll worry about all that stuff later.”

Kerr would also later add that his retirement plans is “probably” tied to Curry’s playing career.
The pair have enjoyed one of the best player-coach partnerships in the history of the NBA and are responsible for the Warriors’ four NBA championships and the creation of a dynasty that dominated the NBA between 2015-2022
Furthermore they’ve built up a franchise that has a long and healthy future ahead of them with the existence of Chase Center – the $1.4 billion arena that opened up in 2019 – an example of that.

The two are also enjoying somewhat of a resurgent season this year, sparked by the arrival of Jimmy Butler.
Curry and Butler combined for 65 points in a 22-point comeback against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday as the Warriors recorded a 10th win from their last 12 games.

Since Butler’s arrival, the Dubs are 10-1 and Curry has been revitalised.

Butler scored 25 points and six assists while Curry dominated with 40 points and hit seven 3-pointers in a game they trailed after three quarters.

The four-time NBA champion is averaging 30.3 points on 51-44-90 shooting splits since Butler’s Warriors’ debut.
That win over the Nets concludes the Warriors east coast road trip with a 4-1 record, a stretch of games that Curry demonstrated his very best according to Kerr.

“Steph just had an incredible trip, put on a show in every city,” Kerr said.

“What he does, it’s amazing. Just the show that he puts on, the joy that he brings to so many fans who are coming to see him play in all these different cities.

“Every fan base loves Steph and there’s a reason he’s an incredible performer.”
