Emotional Revelation: Suri Cruise Speaks Publicly About Her Father, Tom Cruise
In a heartfelt statement made just 25 minutes ago from California, Suri Cruise — daughter of actor Tom Cruise — shared emotionally charged news regarding her relationship with her father.
According to sources confirmed by Page Six, Tom Cruise, 60, remains estranged from his 16-year-old daughter, with no recent contact between the two. A source close to the family stated, “He is not a part of her life and hasn’t seen her in a very long time.”
Tom Cruise and actress Katie Holmes welcomed Suri in April 2006. Following their high-profile split in 2011, the bond between father and daughter has reportedly deteriorated over time.
In legal transcripts from his 2012 defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media, Cruise acknowledged he had not seen Suri for several months after the divorce. Speaking to attorneys in 2013, he admitted, “It’s not an ideal scene. It’s not an ideal situation,” alluding to the challenges following his separation from Holmes.
Notably, Cruise also admitted during the deposition that his affiliation with the Church of Scientology contributed to the estrangement. When asked if Holmes had distanced herself and Suri from him due to concerns over Scientology, Cruise replied, “That was one of the assertions, yes.”
The controversial religious organization, which discourages members from associating with non-believers, has frequently been cited as a barrier to Cruise’s relationship with his daughter. Since neither Suri nor Holmes are affiliated with Scientology, this may have further complicated their dynamic.
A source close to the situation told Page Six, “This is his loss, his issue, his problem. He must be really brainwashed.”
Katie Holmes, in a previous interview with Town & Country, emphasized her commitment to Suri’s well-being, stating, “My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work. There’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.”
