Among those in attendance was WNBA star Angel Reese, who came out to support her brother, Maryland forward Julian Reese. While Julian contributed a solid performance—12 points, eight rebounds, and three assists—it wasn’t enough to match Florida’s depth and execution. Maryland freshman Derik Queen, a standout in the Round of 32, led all scorers with 27 points.

With the victory, Florida becomes the second SEC team to punch its ticket to the Elite Eight. They now await the outcome of the No. 3 Texas Tech vs. No. 10 Arkansas matchup, which is expected to be a closely contested showdown. The Gators aim to advance to the Final Four for the first time since 2014.
