NFL Celebrity: Travis Kelce Reportedly Reveals Wedding Date with Taylor Swift in Recent Podcast Episode—Fans React with Excitement
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has sparked headlines once again—this time over speculation surrounding his engagement to global pop icon Taylor Swift. During a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis may have inadvertently hinted at the couple’s upcoming wedding plans.
While speaking at a press conference in New Orleans on Monday (February 3), Kelce was asked directly whether he intended to propose to Swift during the Super Bowl. With a smile, he responded playfully, “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
When pressed further—specifically about presenting Swift with a ring during the championship game on February 8—Kelce deflected once more. “A Super Bowl ring? Next question,” he said, drawing laughs from the room.
Despite avoiding a direct answer, Kelce was forthcoming about how Swift’s work ethic inspires him both personally and professionally.
“If she’s out here being the superstar she is—never taking no for an answer and always working her tail off—I better hold up my end of the bargain,” he said. “I’ve got to match that energy for sure.”
As the Chiefs prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles in their second Super Bowl matchup in as many years, a win could cement their legacy with a third consecutive title. During the AFC Championship on January 26, Swift joined Kelce on the field to celebrate, sharing a heartfelt moment that captivated fans.
“I love you so much,” she told him. “I’m so proud of you. I can’t stand it. Look what you did!”
That emotional exchange has fueled rumors that Kelce might propose during the Super Bowl. Fans have also noticed Swift wearing a diamond infinity ring, speculating it might be a promise or pre-engagement ring. Though neither Kelce nor Swift has publicly confirmed any plans, Kelce did offer insight on wedding timing during the January 8 podcast episode.
“I’ve seen weddings in February, in all kinds of seasons—but never really in the fall,” he said, suggesting autumn might not be ideal for tying the knot.
In a separate conversation with sports journalist Stephen A. Smith, Kelce discussed the future of his NFL career, acknowledging that his thoughts on retirement vary daily.
“I’ll reevaluate like I always do,” he said. “But I still love this game. I might just tell myself again how much I love it and come back next year.”
He emphasized that Swift has never pressured him to leave football.
“She’s incredibly supportive,” Kelce said. “She loves coming to Arrowhead and cheering me on. I’ve got all the encouragement I need to keep chasing my dreams.”
When asked where he sees himself in three years, Kelce was clear:
“Hopefully still playing football. I love what I do. I feel like I have a lot of good football left in me.”
As fans eagerly await official news about the couple’s future, it’s clear that both Kelce and Swift remain focused on their respective careers—with unwavering support for one another along the way.
